If your doctor has given you a referral please fax or email that to us so that we can arrange an appointment in a timely manner.
In 2024 Doctor will only work a 4 day week, 9am - 3pm Monday to Thursdays.
We usually schedule face to face and tele consults in these times .
Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm
The office is closed in Fridays.
When Doctor is away the secretaries may also be taking time out of the office but we will leave a message on the phones if this is the case.
Please ring the office and the staff can assist you in making an appointment in a timely manner. Please check you have a valid referral on file to obtain your Medicare rebate.
Unfortunately, none of the Private Health Funds cover any of the costs of the consultation whether in the office or on video link or phone with Dr Oziemski or treatments undertaken.
We ask that you do not wear any makeup, sunscreen, moisturiser or nail polish which could hide blemishes that you may be taking a photo of or if you are preparing to come into the office for a consultation.
Patients require a referral to be valid in order to obtain their rebate from Medicare. Existing patients of the practice may have a referral on file but we remind patients prior to the next appointment to make sure of this via SMS text when confirming.
If existing or returning patients develop a new problem or rash you will still need to obtain a New referral for that condition from your medical practitioner. There is therefore also a New item number fee and cost. The New referral from the GP may also state the urgency of the problem and indicate a time frame in which the GP asks Dr Oziemski to see you.
Some people choose to come without a renewed referral from their GP however please be aware there is less rebate from Medicare.
We confirm appointments one week prior via our SMS messaging which links to our software appointment timetable. However, if you prefer, we can contact you by phone to confirm.
We are grateful if patients decline an appointment via SMS or if you ring and cancel at your earliest possible, as we can offer the appointment to someone else.
We can arrange a consultation via video or phone, but this may not be appropriate for some types of problems. Talk to us if you needed more information about these consults or fees for them.
We wish to advise if an appointment has been confirmed and a person does not show and no apology is given, we will ask for a pre-payment to make a future booking. The pre-payment will be forfited if the subsequent appointment is not attended after confirmation and no notice of cancellation is given.
There is access via bus or rail and a taxi rank is outside our building on Wickham Terrace.
We have arranged reduced parking rates for patients with Astor Terrace Car park , located in the next street behind us at 28 Astor Terrace. You can enter the car park via Portman Lane and collect the ticket on entry from the machine, and keep that ticket on you.
Ask us for the discount voucher at your appointment.
When you return to your car, go to the ticket machine on the ground floor, enter your ticket and then scan the voucher under the red light. Your original ticket will be returned to you, which you will need to put into the exit machine at the boom gate after you are leaving in your car.
Please note these are a single use voucher.
The discount rates are $10 for less than 1 hour, $15 for up to 3 hours, $20 for 4 hours and $25 for up to 5 hours. Maximum stay is 5 hours and after that standard rates apply.
We continue offering face to face consultations but also use telehealth if appropriate.
An Initial visit cost will $320 and a rebate of $84.15 is paid to you by Medicare if you have a valid referral. Our initial visit is 30 minutes in duration. You will only receive the rebate if you have face to face consultation in the rooms.
Pensioners are issued a reduced fee for in rooms consultations. We accept DVA cards also.
We also have Private Fees without a rebate for consultations via the telephone, without a video option, if there is no available referral, as this may suit some patients
Review visits in rooms or via video or phone are usually 10-20 minutes. As of November 2023 the cost is $200 and a rebate to you of $42.30 is paid by Medicare if you have a valid referral. Occasionally a short visit to review a condition is needed and Dr Oziemski can discuss this fee with you.
A Private fee for a telephone consultation without a referral is available if that is more suitable than attending and can be discussed with you if appropriate for your condition.
This means you can avoid coming in for your follow up appointment but still obtain care. If you have a valid referral you will be elligible for a Medicare rebate. We ask that you email us a few photos of your face to show the extent of the acne a day before the teleconsult. Off course the time is yours so please attend instead and theres no need to email the photo the night before.
Dr Oziemski will be able to outline if any procedures are needed and if so may need for you to attend the rooms or may rebook for a procedure time on another day. Costs for the procedure are discussed and approximate out of pocket costs given however please note Private Health Funds do not cover any of the procedures.
If you call and require a script outside of a consultation our fees are $50 for a hard copy and $25 for an eScript. The cost difference is we need to fax and then post the hard copy scripts. Sometimes a teleconsult may need to be scheduled before we issue a script if Doctor needs to ask you some medical questions to determine what is the best medication. We will quote the cost for the teleconsult if needed.
