Wickham Terrace Office
Phone 07 3831 1211
Fax 07 3831 1216
If your doctor has given you a referral please fax or email that to us and indicate if you would prefer a video consult or if you can attend the rooms for a face to face consultation.
Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm
We usually schedule face to face and tele consults in these times however special arrangements can be made for tele consults outside of these hours. These are directly arranged by Dr Oziemski and a different fee may apply.
In 2023 Doctor Oziemski will be working a 4 day week, taking off an alternate Wednesday or Friday.
Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm
When Doctor is away the secretaries may also be taking time out of the office but we will leave a message on the phones if this is the case.
Please ring the office and the staff can assist you. If you have a referral from your doctor we ask that you email or fax that to us. We will email you our welcome information pack and the registration form which we ask you bring in for your appointment, or attend 10 minutes prior to your appointment to fill them in.
Unfortunately, none of the Private Health Funds cover any of the costs of the consultation whether in the office or on video link or phone with Dr Oziemski or treatments undertaken.
We ask that you do not wear any makeup, sunscreen, moisturiser or nail polish which could hide blemishes that you may be taking a photo of or if you are preparing to come into the office for a consultation.
Due to the increasing COVID numbers in the community we ask that you wear a mask for the appointment and will be given one if you present without one.
Patients require a referral to be valid in order to obtain their rebate from Medicare. Existing patients of the practice may have a referral on file but we remind patients prior to the next appointment to make sure of this via SMS text when confirming.
If however there is a New lesion or rash, you need to obtain a New referral according to medicare and as that may need a longer consultation we need to allocate enough time for this. There is also a New item number fee. The New referral from the GP may also state the urgency of the problem and indicate a time frame in which the GP asks Dr Oziemski to see you.
Some people choose to come without a renewed referral from their GP however please be aware there is less rebate from Medicare.
We confirm appointments one week prior via our SMS messaging which links to our software appointment timetable. However, if you prefer, we can contact you by phone to confirm.
We are grateful if patients decline an appointment via SMS or if you ring and cancel at your earliest possible, as we can offer the appointment to someone else.
We can arrange a consultation via video or phone, but this may not be appropriate for some types of problems. Talk to us if you needed more information about these consults or fees for them.
We wish to advise if an appointment has been confirmed and a person does not show and no apology is given, we will ask for a pre-payment to make a future booking. The pre-payment will be forfited if the subsequent appointment is not attended after confirmation.
There is access via bus or rail and a taxi rank is outside our building on Wickham Terrace.
Brisbane City Council has made a special arrangement at the Wickham Terrace carpark opposite our building, entry via Turbot street. On level 4 , there are designated Medical Center parking bays and you may find witches hats blocking those. However move the witches hat and park. You still need to pay the usual fee at the parking station and as there is a 2 hour recommended turn around time, it allows others needing a park for their medical appointment a space to park, and exit directly on the street level, rather than on higher levels where the lift may not operate.
We continue offering face to face consultations but also use telehealth extensively if appropriate.
In rooms consultations are $300 if its an initial visit and a rebate of $78.05 is paid to you by Medicare if you have a valid referral. Our initial visit is 30 minutes in duration whether by face to face or telehealth consult via video.
Pensioners are issued a reduced fee for in rooms consultations. We accept DVA cards also.
We also have Private Fees without a rebate for consultations via the telephone, without a video option, if there is no available referral, as this may suit some patients.
Review visits in rooms or via telehealth video are $190 and a rebate to you of $39.25 is paid by Medicare if you have a valid referral. Occasionally a short visit to review a condition is needed and Dr Oziemski can discuss this fee with you which would also apply to telehealth video item numbers.
A Private fee for a telephone consultation is available if that is more suitable than attending and can be discussed with you if appropriate.
This means you can avoid coming in for your appointment but still obtain care. If you have a valid referral you will be elligible for a Medicare rebate. We ask that you email us a few photos of your face to show the extent of the acne, and we then set up a teleconsult if that is requested by you. Off course the time is yours so if you would like to come in, Dr Oziemski Ifeels that is preferable also.
Dr Oziemski will be able to outline if any procedures are needed and if so may need for you to attend the rooms or may rebook for a procedure time on another day. Costs for the procedure are discussed and approximate out of pocket costs given however please note Private Health Funds do not cover any of the procedures. During the time of CVOID lockdown any procedure not for a skin cancer may need to be re-organised to a later date.
If scripts are requested outside of consultations, sometimes Dr Oziemski may need to ring you back and chat to you about your condition, exactly what you are using and what your needs are. Especially if you have not been seen for a while. In such a case a tele consult may also need to be arranged. The script may then be faxed to your regular chemist for you to collect when it is dispensed. We charge an administrative fee of $40 for any scripts we need to issue outside of a consultation.
